Kanye West On Rihanna Attack

American hip hop giant Kanye West has spoken about the alleged altercation between close friend Rihanna and boyfriend Chris Brown.

West and Rihanna have been close for some time. The alleged incident took place just before the Grammy Awards, and led to both Rihanna and Chris Brown pulling out of the show - they had both been due to perform at the ceremony.

It is alleged that the couple had an argument in a car they were driving, when Brown apparently beat Rihanna to the extent that she had to go to hospital.

Kanye West told KIIS-FM Radio yesterday (February 10th) that he was "was completely devastated by the concept of what I heard".

Having heard the news, West still had to go on stage at the Grammys and perform. The rapper has offered his support to Rihanna saying "in that sense, I feel like that's my baby sis. I would do any and everything to help her in any situation.”

West finished by saying "all I want to say is, it's so devastating. Just as a person, I don't care how famous she is or even if she just worked at McDonald's ... it should never come to that place".

Brown allegedly handed himself into the police after the incident.
