Kanye West On New Jay-Z Album

One of the most controversial men in hip hop, Kanye West has revealed the secrets of Jay-Z's upcoming release 'The Blueprint 3'.

As far as collaborations go, Kanye West teaming up with Jay-Z is up there with those comics where the Fantastic Four pair up with Spiderman. The hip hop don will take on production duties for Jay-Z's forthcoming album 'The Blueprint 3', which promises to be a landmark release.

Kanye West's last album '808s And Heartbreak' split the hip hop community, while Jay-Z is no stranger to controversy himself. The hip hop star was booked to play Glastonbury last year, sparking a huge discussion over the festivals music policy.

Noel Gallagher was a notable critic of the rapper, who in turn took aim at the Oasis star in a blistering new track. Jay-Z has been working on his forthcoming new album for some time, with Kanye West revealing a number of production secrets in a new interview.

Speaking to MTV News, Kanye West stated that Jay-Z's new album will come from a different place than West's own '808s And Heartbreak'.

"We actually removed all the songs with Autotune off his album to make the point that this is an anti-Autotune album," he said, "even though I released an album that has all Autotune. It doesn't matter to me. It's music, it's just sonics."

Jay-Z recently departed legendary hip hop stable Def Jam, signing a deal with Live Nation to create his own label. West explained: "Jay is in control of everything in his domain. He's just been working on (the album), and it's gonna be amazing when he drops it."

"I think it's good he's taking his time to give people the best product possible and not being rushed by this fast-food, media-outlet, internet, everything-is-getting-leaked, people-stealing your songs-before-you-can-mix-them-and-put-them-online world we're living in right now."

Kanye West has been working closely with UK indie singer Mr Hudson for some time, at one point comparing the English musician to Frank Sinatra. Mr Hudson has been booked to appear on 'The Blueprint 3', singing on a total of three songs.

His new production role marks Kanye West's return to music. Since releasing '808s And Heartbreak' the singer has focussed on his extra-curricular activities, including designing a pair of trainers for Parisian fashion house Louis Vuitton.

Jay-Z is set to release his new album 'The Blueprint 3' later this year.
