Kanye West MTV Stage Invasion

Hip hop icon Kanye West has shocked fans by invading the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards last night (September 13th).

Kanye West has never been one to bottle up his feelings inside of him. The rapper has made a name for himself through making some outlandish comments, and backing these up with massively successful albums.

Attending the MTV Video Music Awards, the rap star grew increasingly frustrated by proceedings. However Kanye West finally lost the plot after Beyonce missed out on the Best Female Video award.

Winner Taylor Swift was just finishing her speech when Kanye West suddenly stormed the stage, shouting his disapproval. "Now Taylor I'm really happy for you, I let you finish," he declared. "Now Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time! One of the best videos of all time!"

West's appearance was greeted with a mixture of cheers and boos from the audience, with Beyonce herself in attendance. The incident recalls a similar Kanye West stage invasion in 2006, when he lost out to Justice.

Somewhat ironically, Beyonce later picked up the night's main award - 'Video Of The Year'. The singer invited Swift back onstage with her when she collected the award.

The Twitter world was ablaze with talk of the incident, as Kings Of Leon star Nathan Followill commented: "At least we got to see the worst haircut since 1984 try to steal the spotlight from lovely Taylor Swift".
