Kanye West Launches Trainers

Hip hop superstar Kanye West has unveiled a new personally designed pair of trainers created in association with Louis Vuitton.

The rap star has spoken of his love fashion for some time, and planned to step back from music in order to work as an intern with one of the major fashion houses. Historic style company Louis Vuitton were one of the companies mooted, and the company have worked with West on a new pair of trainers.

Bright red, the pair will be released in June and were one of the centrepieces of the Louis Vuitton fall collection at Paris Fashion Week. West told LA Times that "I've wanted to be a fashion designer my entire life. And to see my stuff in the Vuitton show was something else. It was a dream come true."

It's not known when the trainers will go on general sale.

In other Kanye related activity the rapper has been discussing his feud with 50 Cent. West worked with the rapper early in his career, and still speaks fondly of him, telling Bossip "he was my favorite rapper since Mase when he dropped, and when I used to be around him, he was one of the few people that I was, like, really a fan of".

“This is even when I had 'College Dropout' and 'Jesus Walks.' Jay-Z and 50 are two types of guys you really want to make some good music for,” he said.
