Kanye West / Lady Gaga Tour Cancelled

Mammoth US tour postponed

The much discussed joint tour between Kanye West and Lady Gaga has been cancelled.

Kanye West likes to keep people guessing. Last year’s downbeat album ‘808s And Heartbreak’ created a storm through its use of the autotune device, which quickly spread throughout the music industry.

However the rapper managed to provoke the fightback against autotune. Producing Jay-Z’s new album ‘The Blueprint 3’ the hip hop icon persuaded the rapper to craft ‘D.O.A. (Death Of Autotune)’.

Announcing a joint tour with Lady Gaga, fans were surprised by Kanye West’s adoption of the pop icon. However if there’s a more outspoken person in American music it is probably Lady Gaga.

Set to tour across the United States, the pair promised one of the most spectacular jaunts in recent times.

However in shock news the two talents have postponed the tour dates. A statement from promoter Live Nation has revealed the cancellation, with the joint headline tour due to begin next month.

Few details are known at this point with neither of the artists making a statement.

The news comes as Kanye West cements his position of the most wanted man in the United States. The rapper recently stole the limelight while Taylor Swift was accepting an award at the VMA’s – prompting President Obama to label him a “jackass”.
