Kanye West Energy Drink

One of hip hop's biggest stars Kanye West is set to expand his empire wiht the launch of a new drink.

Kanye West is now a global brand. Aside from music, which he seems to create with nonchalant ease, the rapper has also moves into fashion, art and design. West has been working with Parisian fashion house Louis Vuitton to craft a new pair of trainers, following on from the establishment of his own clothing range last year.

Kanye West recently defended himself from accusations that he dresses 'gay'. In a well thought out answer the rapper denied there was such a thing, before explaining that fashion is merely an outlet for creativity.

The hip hop star is a global icon, whose recent album '808s And Heartbreak' may well have encountered criticism but nonetheless has spawned a thousand sound-alike efforts. Kanye West is due to headline this summer's Wireless event in Hyde Park, amongst a host of other planned appearances.

The new drink product will see Kanye West concoct a 100% natural and organic beverage with the American company Guru, and follows from a previous move into the world of food. In a press release the rapper said:

"I express myself through music, fashion, art, and design, and that's why I am excited to collaborate with Guru; because the brand values what I value, and I can put what inspires me into this new product."

The new drink comes as news breaks that Diesel are set to launch a new fragrance range featuring specially designed lines names after Common, Jay-Z and - as always - Kanye West.

Kanye West's new energy drink is due to be released later this year.
