Kanye West 's Cousin Investigation

US hip hop giant Kanye West's cousin is under investigation in the United States in connection with the death of the rapper's mother, reports claim.

Kanye West's mother died in November from what a Los Angeles coroner ruled was "multiple post-operative factors". The hip hop star's mother Donda was recovering from plastic surgery when the incident occurred.

Stephan Scoggins was a registered carer when the incident occurred. It is alleged that he left her unattended to go to a baby shower last November.

Kanye West was extremely close to his mother, who frequently appeared at his side at awards ceremonies. Donda West also wrote a biography of her son.

It has been claimed in the American media that an investigation led by the Californian Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) has requested individuals "to testify in the matter of the investigation of Stephan Scoggins".

The DCA represents Scoggins' employer, the California Board of Registered Nursing.
