Kaiser Chiefs For Bilbao
Spanish event expands
One of Spain's hottest parties Bilbao BBK has added some explosive new names to its line up with Kaiser Chiefs set to play a no doubt stunning set.
Perched on the edge of one of Spain's most beautiful cities, Bilbao BBK is a 40,000 capacity festival that gathers together some of the music world's top talent. A former industrial heartland, Bilbao has transformed itself into a creative centre and the three day event has played a big part in changing perceptions of the city.
Kaiser Chiefs are the latest additions to a star-studded bill. The group released their third album 'Off With Their Heads' last year, and since then have been touring the world. A recent jaunt to the United States saw keyboard player Peanut hospitalised, but the Yorkshire musician is back in tow for their summer dates.
Joining the band on the bill are Editors, Motor and Chris Cornell. The former Soundgarden frontman recently released an album with hip hop producer Timbaland which has split fans down the middle.
Also due to join in on the fun are Jane's Addiction. Led by Perry Farrell the legendary funk-rock group craft a superb party atmosphere wherever they go - not surprising, since Farrell actually came up with the concept for Lollapalooza.
This year's headliners include synth pop legends Depeche Mode, Primal Scream, The Ting Tings and Basement Jaxx. The dance duo went on hiatus some time ago, with this marking a rare return to Spain for the chart busting group.
With a stunning line up and an almost guaranteed blast of sunshine, Bilbao BBK is fast becoming one of Europe's top live event.
Bilbao BBK takes place between July 9th - 11th.
