Justin Bieber has emerged at the top of this year's VEVO chart.

Streaming is rapidly emerging as the de facto means for fans to listen to music, reigniting the humble art of the music video.

VEVO have reported year-on-year figures, and it's a tale of remarkable growth – stats have leaped 26% within the space of 12 months.

Justin Bieber tops this year's charts, with 'Sorry (PURPOSE : The Movement)' gaining some 1.8 billion views.

Adele's 'Hello' sits in second place, while other big hitters such as Drake's 'Hotline Bling' and Rihanna's 'Work' also make an impression.
