Julian Casablancas UK Tour Details

Strokes singer turned solo star Julian Casablancas has confirmed details of his first European solo tour.

The Strokes are one of the most iconic groups of their generation. With the success of their debut album 'Is This It?' the band helped inspire a host of guitar slinging newcomers, as well as sending the sales of converse through the roof.

Since then the group have released two more albums of inspirational new wave material, before deciding to take a break in 2006. Since then, various members have released solo material with singer Julian Casablancas the next in line.

'Phrazes For The Young' is a diverse effort. Showcasing the singer's love of various musical styles, it veers between country and reggae without even blinking an eye.

Featuring Julian Casablancas typical New York drawl, the album is a mature blast of songwriting from the singer. Due for release on November 2nd it has already garnered warm reviews.

Due to be expanded into a lavish box set just in time for Christmas, the album will be followed by a series of solo dates. Opening in Copenhagen on November 30th Julian Casablancas European tour is set to take in a number of UK shows.

Opening with a show in Manchester's Ritz venue on December 11th the singer is set to play a handful of shows, before finishing the jaunt with a performance in London's Forum on December 16th.
