Julian Casablancas Los Angeles Residency

Strokes singer Julian Casablancas has confirmed that he is set to launch his new album with a Los Angeles residency.

It's been a long time coming. As lead singer with The Strokes Julian Casablancas helped shift the entire music scene, turning a generation of fans into Converse clad, leather jacket wearing new wave obsessives.

However after three albums The Strokes decided to take a break. Since 2005, various members of the group have launched solo projects yet lead singer Julian Casablancas has remained strangely silent.

Releasing a one off track with Santigold and Pharrell Williams, Julian Casablancas then began work on his debut solo album.

Recording with a group of close friends, Julian Casablancas is set to release 'Phrazes For The Young' on November 2nd.

Delayed for a few weeks, fans have been waiting patiently for four years to hear new material from the singer. A surprisingly eclectic collection, 'Phrazes For The Young' is obviously new wave influenced by also shows traces of reggae and even country.

Now Julian Casablancas is set to play a residency in Los Angeles at the Downtown Palace Theatre. Opening on November 6th the singer will perform once a week until November 27th.
