Queens Of The Stone Age frontman Josh Homme proved the old cliches about gingers true by erupting onstage at a Norwegian festival, it is reported.

The group were onstage at the Norwegian Wood festival in Oslo when it is alleged that a fan had thrown an item at the singer. Not known for backing down from a fight, then erupted into an onstage rant - captured for posterity by Youtube.

Josh Homme warns the fan that "If you throw something at me I'm not so sick that I can't go down there and beat the fucking shit out of you. I may have a fucking 102 temperature and I've been puking for two days, but I'll still butt-fuck you in front of your friends."

Charming! The singer then demanded the fan is dragged from the crowd, before throwing a bottle at the onlooker as he is dragged away from the festival.

For those of you who feel like tackling the newly crowned 'hardest man in rock', Queens Of The Stone Age will be appearing at the Reading and Leeds festivals on the following dates:

August 22nd - Richfield Avenue, Reading
August 23rd - Bramham Park, Leeds
