Johnny Marr has intimated his intentions to write an autobiography.
Morrissey and Marr remains one of the most seductive songwriting partnerships British music has produced. So enthralling is their output, that barely six months can go by without another 'Smiths To Reform' hoax screaming its way across the internet.
Yet the two are utterly distinct figures. Morrissey recently penned his memoirs, creating his headlines with his account of The Smiths inner workings.
Now Johnny Marr has intimated that he will do the same. Speaking to Brooklyn Vegan, the guitarist explained: "I’ve had so many offers and so many people advising me that my story is worth it, but I understand it’s something that I have to do."
"I’ll do it in the next couple of years," he added. "I’m into from the stance that I want it to be so thorough that I don’t make a record or tour whilst I was doing it. It is gonna happen, and I’ve already made an agreement with a publisher for it, so I will get it done."
