Johnny Flynn has confirmed plans for a new batch of tour dates - his first in over two years.
The wave of nu-folk which produced Mumford & Sons, Laura Marling et al might well be on the wane, but there remain some artists which have simply not received their due.
A literate, effortlessly emotive voice Johnny Flynn certainly ranks as someone more than due the commercial success afforded on his contemporaries.
But then, that's what happens when you take two years away from music. A talented actor, Johnny Flynn has appeared on numerous stage productions, allowing his acoustic guitar to rest in the corner of his room.
Now, though, Johnny Flynn is on the comeback trail. The songwriter has revealed plans for an extensive UK tour, including his first headline shows in two years. Alongside this, the singer will join forces with the Sussex Wit for a number of festival shows.
