"I am the anti-Christ..."
Well, he wasn't joking. John Lydon has now been cast in an American production of 'Jesus Christ Superstar'.
His role? None other than King Herod, the man responsible for widespread slaughter on a Biblical scale.
Associated Press broke the news, with the touring production also set to star Destiny's Child's Michelle Williams, Incubus' Brandon Boyd, and 'N Sync's JC Chasez (no we are not making this up).
Michelle Williams will play Mary, while the role of Jesus will be occupied by Ben Forster who of course won reality competition 'Superstar'.
The tour opens in New Orleans on June 9th, with Boyd and Williams dropping past 'Good Morning America' earlier today to confirm the news.
