Four CD collection planned

A new box set celebrating the career of Jimi Hendrix has been confirmed, featuring unreleased material.
Jimi Hendrix remains an icon, forty years after his tragic death. With only a slim back catalogue, fans could be forgiven for thinking that the guitarist's output has been exhausted but a new box set contains yet more unreleased material.
The new collection is titled 'West Coast Seattle Boy - The Jimi Hendrix Anthology' and is due to be released on November 15th. The release follows on from the release of 'Valleys Of Neptune' earlier this year, which shed new light on the latter year's of the guitarist's life and work.
The upcoming box set includes some choice cuts alongside unreleased material. The early years of Jimi Hendrix are represented on Disc One, which includes material recorded with The Isley Brothers, Little Richard and more.
His classic psychedelic years are explored on Disc Two, while the third disc in the collection is centred on live material. A number of unreleased tracks are included, with a cute rendition of 'Hound Dog Blues' amongst the most prominent.
Once again drawing on the vaults of Electric Ladyland Studios, Jimi Hendrix is also heard blasting through the Bob Dylan classic 'Tears Of Rage'.
Alongside the box set, the Jimi Hendrix estate have confirmed two new re-issues. The Jimi Hendrix BBC Sessions is to be made available once again, while 'Blues' will also be released on November 12th.
A firm favourite with fans, the BBC Sessions contains some remarkable recordings including a hilarious version of 'Day Tripper' and that legendary jam with Stevie Wonder. The album will be accompanied by a new version of 'Hendrix At Woodstock' and, somewhat bizarrely, the Jimi Hendrix Christmas EP.
