Jet On Oasis Split

"Definitely the end" the Aussies claim

Australian rockers Jet have spoken out on the split between close friends Oasis, claiming it is "definitely the end" for the Manchester band.

Jet and Oasis go back a long way. The Australian group have frequently toured with the Gallaghers, who responded well to their hairy knuckle rock 'n' roll. However this has also given the Aussie group an insight into the Gallaghers' strained dynamic.

Oasis recently un-ravelled following a bust up in France. Due to take to the stage at Rock En Seine the band cancelled moments before the show was due to start, with a message relaying to fans that the group had fallen out.

Afterwards Noel Gallagher published a statement in which he officially confirmed he had left the group, citing constant verbal and physical intimidation. Jet are former touring partners, and actually have a sibling partnership of their own.

Speaking to The Sun singer Nic Cester claimed that "if anything I'm shocked they managed to make it work for so long. I'd say it's definitely the end. They didn't get on."

Brother Chris Cester blamed a clash of personalities for the split. However he did praise Noel Gallagher claiming he was "one of the funniest people I've ever met". Liam Gallagher, meanwhile, was simply described as "mental".

"I have never seen them have one conversation together the whole time I've known them. Avoiding each other was best," he continued before insisting that he saw the split coming after a tour in 2005.

Oasis have yet to confirm what form their future will take. Jet, however, are due to release their latest album 'Shaka Rock' later this year.
