Jarvis Cocker Yoga Classes

Indie legend Jarvis Cocker is set to play a series of unusual shows - during a yoga and aerobics class.

Jarvis Cocker is no stranger to unusual shows. A lead singer of Pulp the frontman played a series of gigs in a wheelchair after fracturing his back.

Later, he would lead the band on a woodland tour of the UK performing in the middle of epic forests.

Now working on his own, Jarvis Cocker seems to have retained his love of unusual shows. Last year the singer performed a number of dates in Paris which formed the centre of an evolving art exhibition.

It seems that Jarvis Cocker is set to take this show to London. The singer has confirmed he will take part in a five day art 'happening' next month. Opening on November 7th the shows will contain yoga and pilates classes, as well as jamming with members of the public.

The singer will perform for seven hours a day in the Village Underground venue in London. Accompanied by his regular band Jarvis Cocker is expected to run through his more established material, as well as experimental jamming.

Jarvis Cocker has been busy of late. As well as touring his latest album 'Further Complications' the singer is set to receive an honorary doctorate from the Sheffield University where his interest in art and music was piqued.

In addition to this Jarvis Cocker appears in the new animated film 'The Fantastic Mr Fox' and has also been writing songs for a forthcoming Russell Brand project.

Jarvis Cocker's art 'happening' will take place in London's Village Underground on November 7th - 11th.
