Jamie xx has revealed that he is working on a new track with Four Tet.
True electronic heavyweights, Jamie xx and Four Tet are both fond of collaboration. So in a way, it's a wonder that the pair haven't worked together before.
In a new interview with The Japan Times (via FACT), Jamie xx reveals that he is working on a track with Kieran Hebden. No word on a release date - or even what it will sound like - but seemingly work has already begun on the project.
The track will appear as part of a mixtape containing entirely new material which Jamie xx is currently working on. "I’m just making loads of music basically" the producer said. "Making it with some friends and with (The xx collaborators) Olly and Romy, and eventually it’s probably going to go into some sort of mixtape but I don’t know when it’s going to come out. It’ll just be ready when it’s ready."
Jamie xx recently stepped in to remix Four Tet's 'Lion' - listen to it below.
