James Murphy To Remix David Bowie

For 'The Next Day' expansion pack...
The Next Day

James Murphy is set to remix David Bowie for an expanded version of 'The Next Day'.

David Bowie's sudden resurgence has been as surprising as it has been welcome. The iconic songwriter exiled himself from music, sparking rumours that the move could be permanent.

Sweeping back into action with 'The Next Day' Bowie proved that his creative faculties remain razor sharp. Preparing an expanded version of the album, it seems that the surprises are set to continue.

Aside from his solo endeavours, David Bowie recently recorded guest vocals for Arcade Fire. The sessions were overseen by James Murphy, who has accepted an invitation to remix 'Love Is Lost'.

The track will appear on an expanded version of 'The Next Day' alongside five unheard tracks from the initial recording sessions and a Venetian edit of 'I'd Rather Be High'. (via theQuietus)

Alongside this, a third disc will feature all of the acclaimed videos which have accompanied 'The Next Day' campaign. The collector's edition of 'The Next Day' is set to be released in November.
