Host of new additions confirmed
James Murphy is set to step out of the shadows of LCD Soundsystem with a DJ set at this year's Sonar.
When LCD Soundsystem finally came to an end with a spectacular show at Madison Square Garden, James Murphy must have wondered what he was supposed to do next. The producer had spent the best part of ten years working on the project, before announcing its end last summer.
Now James Murphy is to begin his solo career. The producer is set to announce a series of DJ sets, including an appearance at Spain's epic electronic event Sonar.
One of the world's largest showcases for electronic music, Sonar is set to host a DJ set from James Murphy. Spinning the very best in disco, house and techno the producer joins an epic cast.
The latest additions alone contain some stellar attractions. Spread between Barcelona and Galicia, Sonar will host special appearances from oOoOO, Tiga, Ghostpoet, Dizzee Rascal and more.
Elsewhere, Four Tet has been confirmed to appear at the Sonar Galicia event. The producer returned with his last electronic masterpiece last year, adding increasing depth to an already vastly influential back catalogue.
An inspirational live act, Four Tet takes his music into different realms at each show. Set to perform at Sonar, the producer joins a bill which includes the techno influenced dubstep of Martyn, Radio Slave and more.
Meanwhile, the Barcelona event is continuing to expand. Returning for its eighteenth instalment, Sonar is spread across three days and includes a total of 125 live shows with more names due to be announced shortly.
