Hotly tipped James Blake is just one of the British acts announced for the Eurosonic Noorderslag event.

Blake will be joined Airship Black Spiders Dry The River, Ellen and the Escapades, Gold Panda, Graffiti6, Mamas Gun, Mount Kimbie, Monarchy, Rue Royale, This Is The Kit and The Vaccines at the four day festival and conference to be held in the Netherlands from the 12th - 15th January 2011.

Returning for an exclusive show following their 2009 appearance are White Lies with the band's Charles Cave saying "The whole event is in the beautiful town of Groningen and has a great vibe that comes with all early shows in bands careers. It just so happened that after our show, some of the audience became fans and thus asked us to play on some of the festivals and shows that they book and that was very flattering. From that show we were allowed to discover some beautiful areas of Europe over the summer. Parts of Southern Norway, Sweden and even as far as the Czech Republic and Poland. We feel lucky to have played, and proud we won some new fans."

Also returning are Mumford & Sons to collect the European Border Breakers Awards in recognition of their wider success outside of the UK.

Previous bands who've benefited from the exposure at Eurosonic Noorderslag in the past include Franz Ferdinand, Kaizers Orchestra, The Soundtrack of Our Lives, Moneybrother, Within Temptation, Wir Sind Helden, Beatsteaks, Disco Ensemble, Infadels, Goose, Gabriel Rios, Seeed, Digitalism, Loney Dear, zZz, Blood Red Shoes, Lykke Li, The Do, Surkin, The Ting Tings, Yelle, Baddies, White Lies, Yuksek, The XX, Sophie Hunger, Charlie Winston and FM Belfast.
