Time for another Jay-Z news burst as 'Magna Carta... Holy Grail' hits record shops.
One of the year's most anticipated hip hop releases, Jay-Z's return has been nothing if not news worthy. From the recording process to the cover art to that name, every aspect of 'Magna Carta... Holy Grail' feels expertly thought through.
Out now, it seems that the album was recorded in just 14 days. The-Dream made the boast in a recent interview, telling RevoltTV: "It was literally like, the body, two weeks of work... The significant part of this album – two weeks of work. Easily." (via FACT)
Elsewhere, it seems that Jack White could be set to give 'Magna Carta... Holy Grail' a vinyl release. Third Man are to step in on the project, which Jay-Z revealed during a quick fire Q&A with fans on Twitter yesterday (July 8th).
Finally... Clash online editor Mike Diver awarded the album a 6/10 score, stating: "...it’s not like Jigga needed to worry about making a few dollars off the back of this set. He had all of them to start with, and guaranteed sales figures, too. If this is going HAM, it’s with a limiter fixed tight. But enough, for now, is just about enough."
