Inverary (Crystal) Castles

The Hydro Connect festival in Inverary, Argyll has expanded its bill yet again with the latest names added to the bill including Santogold, Crystal Castles and The Whip.

Taking place at Inverary Castle, Argyll over the weekend of August 29th - 31st, Hydro Connect is the fresh and funky alternative to the increasingly ned-dominated T In The Park. The festival can boast Santogold's first Scottish appearance after she was forced to pull out of a gig in Glasgow's Sub Club last week due to a sore throat. The Brooklyn singer's self titled debut album is exciting blend of electronic, new wave beats.

Crystal Castles have an intense live show, helped by the 8-Bit frenzy of Ethan Kath's synth and the prowling moves of frontwoman Alice Glass. One of the hottest names in the UK music, Crystal Castles are not to be missed. Also joining the party are Manchester's The Whip and Friendly Fires.

This year's headliners include Manic Street Preachers, Kasabian, Bloc Party, Grinderman and Franz Ferdinand.
