Supported by Hudson Mohawke, lauded as "dope as fuck" by Snoop Dogg himself, Buttering Trio aren't set to remain a secret for long.
First meeting in Berlin, KerenDun, Rejoicer and Beno Hendler (Balkan Beat Box) began fusing their disparate influences into lengthy instrumental jams.
Reconvening in Tel Aviv, Buttering Trio began focussing, refining their ideas into potent chucks of neo-soul. Debut album 'Toast' is set to be released on April 7th via Raw Tapes Records.
Discussing the material, the group said: "The album for us is a kind of schizophrenic new-school romantic child, being a collection of beats produced by the three of us, each bringing her/his own dominant genes".
Album cut 'Take Me Somewhere (Roads)' is available on BandCamp now, and it's a superb slice of experimental production matched to a soft-as-golden-caramel vocal.
