Ian Brown Arrested

For allegedly beating his wife

Fans of indie icon Ian Brown have been left stunned after the singer was arrested for allegedly attacking his wife.

Ian Brown returned this year with his nostalgic new album 'My Way'. Containing several references to his former employers The Stone Roses, the singer recently revealed that one time sparring partner John Squire sent him a possible demo for the album.

Touring widely, Ian Brown has enjoyed a successful year. However that could all be left shattered after the star was involved in a disturbance at his London home, with some witnesses claiming he attacked his wife.

British tabloids are reporting that police were called to the singer's home in West London, after neighbours reported a disturbance.

The former Stone Roses singer was then arrested on suspicion of assault, with an official from Scotland Yard claiming that "a 46-year-old man was arrested at the address and taken to a police station".

Investigating the disturbance it is claimed that police officers were told by Ian Brown's wife Fabiola Quiroz that he had attacked her.

Ian Brown was taken into custody, and was later freed on bail until next month.

Of course, this isn't the first time that Ian Brown has run foul of the long arm of the law. Back in his Stone Roses days the group took a can of paint to the offices of Silvertone, earning themselves a court appearance.

Almost a decade ago now, the singer was involved in a fracas aboard an air plane which left him facing Christmas behind bars.

Ian Brown has not commented on the latest incident.
