'Beacons' due out in Autumn

I Like Trains have confirmed plans for new EP 'Beacons' and a short burst of UK shows.
Returning earlier this year, I Like Trains delivered another outstanding full length release. 'The Shallows' won widespread acclaim, with critics swooning at the typically cerebral themes running through their work.
Stripped from that album, 'Beacons' will form the lynchpin of a new EP. Packaged with three new tracks - so new that I Like Trains haven't finished recording them yet - the four track release will emerge in the Autumn.
Alongside this, I Like Trains have confirmed plans for a series of British shows. Opening in their hometown of Leeds, the tour stretches around the country before drawing to a close in Southampton.
“This is our first headline show in our home town of Leeds for a long time and we're really excited to be putting it on at the City Museum" David Martin explains. "After launching our last album at The Deep aquarium in Hull, we realised how special it can be to perform live music in venues people wouldn't normally associate with live music. It is something we vowed to do more of as and when the opportunities arose".
"The extra planning and effort will all become worth it when we see our fans, friends and family filling this beautiful building in anticipation of our live show. We're making plans to incorporate the five big projection screens they have in the main hall to create an ambitious multimedia performance. It is these shows that you live for as a live band, and we genuinely can't wait to kick off our tour with such a unique gig”.
I Like Trains have confirmed the following shows:
October
13 Leeds City Museum
15 Glasgow Captains Rest
16 Newcastle Cluny
18 Manchester Deaf Institute
19 Leicester Guildhall
21 Birmingham Hare & Hounds
22 London Cargo
23 Bristol Cooler
24 Cardiff Buffalo Bar
25 Southampton The Cellar
