Hot Chip / Robert Wyatt Collaboration

Free EP Set To Be Released

Hot Chip have announced that they are set to rework several of their songs with British musical legend Robert Wyatt, which is set to be released as a free EP next month.

The electro group are currently recording the follow up to their celebrated 'Made In The Dark' album. That record won the band numerous plaudits, bagging them a coveted position on the cover of Clash Magazine. Wyatt will feature on re-recorded versions of the songs 'Made In The Dark'. 'Whistle For Will' and 'We're Looking For A Lot Of Love'.

Wyatt plaintive voice is one of the most emotive weapons in the arsenal of British music, and his vast musical experience sill surely add something utterly unique to the songs. The Putney band got to know the legendary singer after remixing former Clashmusic.com 'Single Of The Week' release 'This Summer Night'.

Hot Chip then contacted Wyatt and, according to a statement from the group, let him choose which of their songs he wished to cover.

The resulting EP will be available as a free download from Hot Chip's official website on December 15th.
