High Places play Louis Vuitton party

Brooklyn duo High Places are to team up with fashion giant Louis Vuitton and filmmaking icon Sofia Coppola.

The highly acclaimed pair, responsible for some truly ethereal sounds on their self-titled debut album (out now on Thrill Jockey), will play at a special party in Tokyo on December 5.

The event is in support of the launch of the new collection that Copploa has designed for Louis Vuitton, and marks the end of the great year for High Places, who have done for otherworldly magnificence in 2008 what Panda Bear did in 2007.

The band also play at Tokyo’s Shibuya o-nest venue on December 6, should Japanese Clash readers be wanting to get down to their sublime sounds outside of a fashion crowd.
