Herve Launches Remix Competition

Herve has launched a new competition allowing fans to remix one of his best known track.

It is becoming more and more difficult for young producers to make their mark. There is simply more competition than ever, with less and less labels willing to put out fresh, untested talent without sign of a return.

Herve knows this more than anyone. The electro don has travelled the world, meeting huge numbers of would-be producers. Having demo tapes thrust into his palm at every turn, the beatsmith has decided to do something about it.

Real name Joshua Harvey, the producer has just launched a new competition. Herve is giving away one of his best known tracks, with fans able to grab the stems and upload their own re-working.

The track in question is 'Roll With The Winners'. Already a big favourite in his live set, the producer is allowing fans to twist and turn the song in all manner of new directions.

The competition is being held on his Facebook page, with fans instructed to click 'Like' before being allowed to download the stems. Once you have constructed your remix, simply upload the new re-working to a SoundCloud drop box.

The winning entry will then be released through Herve's own Cheap Thrills imprint - a massive step up for any aspiring producer.

Meanwhile, Herve is plotting a series of European shows this summer. Set to hit the festival season, the Cheap Thrills producer will travel to Scotland's wildest party RockNess for a weekend to remember.
