HEALTH Prepare 12 Inch

Live shows confirmed

American dance rockers HEALTH are to release a new 12 inch containing adventurous new remixes.

When groups mix dance with rock, they often tend to stick to the same old riffs with some beats added underneath. Few take on board the Futurist nature of electronic music, with HEALTH as an honourable exception.

Released last year, debut album 'Get Color' was a stunning introduction to HEALTH. Matching noisy, abrasive guitars to experimental electronics the album was an overwhelming artistic success, voted as one of Clash Magazine's favourites of 2009.

Last year the band released a trickle of remixes, with HEALTH turning their material into twisted new shapes. Now the American group have confirmed details of a new 12 inch, containing some sizzling remixes.

HEALTH are to be re-worked by Chris Clark and Gold Panda. Signed to Warp Records, Chris Clark is justifiably famed for his own productions. Tackling album highlight 'Die Slow' the producer turns it into something completely different from what HEALTH had envisaged.

On the B-side newcomer Gold Panda makes good on his early promise with a version of 'Before Tigers' which has a uniquely trippy vibe.

Showcasing two different elements of the band's sound, HEALTH's forthcoming 12 inch is set to be released on March 15th. In addition to this the group have confirmed a number of British tour dates.

Opening in Brighton on April 19th the tour will then wind its way around Britain before coming to an end in London on April 22nd.

HEALTH will play the following dates:

April
19 Brighton Audio
20 Glasgow Captains Rest
21 Liverpool Korova
22 London ETHER
