HAIM Begin To Plot Their Second Album

"I promise record two won’t come in six years - it’ll come very soon..."

One 2013's most widely praised debut album, HAIM's 'Days Are Gone' (Clash review HERE) found the Los Angeles group channeling their inner Fleetwood Mac.

Since then, the group have toured almost continuously. Despite this, the trio have been able to sketch out new material in their down time, with plans for a follow up now being laid out.

Dropping past Mary Anne Hobbs' 6Music show, the band confirmed that they intend to lay down some new songs shortly.

"This is the first time we’ve ever written on the road," guitarist Alana said. "We’re going home in a month to start recording. I promise record two won’t come in six years - it’ll come very soon".

For now, though, HAIM have the small matter of a Glastonbury slot to approach. Seemingly fans of the Worthy Farm event, Alana said: "Glastonbury is the one. It doesn’t matter if it’s raining or sunshine, it’s really about the music. I love a festival that’s about the music."
