Anglo-Australian band H. Grimace seem to walk on the dark side of the road.
Brittle, skeletal post-punk, the band's opening salvo - the 'I Am Material' tape and the 'Royal Hush' seven inch - set out their aural campaign in emphatic terms.
Debut album 'Self Architect' is incoming, with H. Grimace sharing sharp-edged new cut 'Call It Out'.
Rooted in that chugging bass line, 'Call It Out' uses brutal sonics to underpin an important message.
The band explain: "It was initially a response to a friend who had been drugged at a party but couldn't name the perpetrator.. But generally the song was about naming something you think should be said but are afraid to say."
Check it out now.
'Self Architect' will be released on April 7th. Catch H. Grimace at Rough Trade East, London on April 13th.
