Guns N Roses Slam Dr Pepper

Returning rock icons Guns 'N' Roses have slammed the drinks company Dr Pepper, stating that they believed it had broken its promise to give every American citizen a free can after the release of the band's new album 'Chinese Democracy'.

Guns 'N' Roses had been on hiatus for over a decade when Dr Pepper announced earlier this year that would give every American citizen a free can if the group released long-rumored album 'Chinese Democracy' in 2008. Unexpectedly, the band met the deadline, forcing Dr Pepper to make the promise official.

However, the band are apparently unhappy with the offer and the group's lawyer Alan Gutman has drafted a strongly worded letter to the firm, calling the promotion an "unmitigated disaster”.

Responding to the letter, Dr Pepper told the LA Times "this was one of the largest responses we have ever received for a giveaway, and we’re happy we were able to satisfy the thirst of so many Dr Pepper fans.”
