Guns N Roses Leaker Case
Kevin Cogill Pleads Guilty
Kevin Cogill, the Los Angeles man accused by authorities of leaking tracks from Guns N Roses long awaited comeback album 'Chinese Democracy', has pleaded guilty it has been reported.
Cogill is alleged to have leaked nine of the fourteen tracks eventually released as 'Chinese Democracy'. The much delayed album took fifteen years to complete, using a total of five guitarists in the process. It was eventually released this year, after costing millions of dollars to complete.
The leak occurred on a website run by Cogill, and lead to both band and label altering plans for Guns N Roses' much vaunted comeback. Cogill was arrested at home in Los Angeles in August.
As part of the plea bargain Cogill will co-operate with investigators, and may face up to one year in prison.
