As 'American Interior' approaches...
Gruff Rhys

Gruff Rhys has always been drawn to the individual, to people who follow their own whims, desires and idiosyncrasies.

Recently tracing the story of John Evans - an explorer who went in search of a 'lost' tribe of Welsh speaking Native Americans - the resulting journey forms the crux of Rhys' new work.

'American Interior' is set to be a very personal album, a book, an accompanying documentary and even an app as Gruff Rhys goes in search of Evans' legacy.

Due for release on May 5th, Gruff Rhys will launch the album with a one off show at Cardiff's Acapela venue.

Alongside this, the Welsh artist will be performing a week-long residency at London's Soho Theatre. Running between May 5th - 10th, the music will be accompanied by a powerpoint presentation on the life of John Evans personally narrated by Gruff Rhys.
