Grizzly Bear Ticket Details

Brooklyn based indie folk sensations Grizzly Bear are set to launch their UK tour, with tickets due to go on sale soon.

Grizzly Bear. have come a long way. The band's experimental debut album 'Horn Of Plenty' featured left-field soundscapes, much of which was written before the group was formed. Yet something unique emerged, with Grizzly Bear's innovative songwriting obvious from the start.

Expanding to a quartet the band began working on slightly more linear, folk derived material. Gathering a cult following Grizzly Bear became one of the few non-electronic acts to sign with legendary British imprint Warp Records.

The band released their new album 'Veckatimest' earlier this year. Their most mature work to date, it followed a spell opening for British giants Radiohead. Grizzly Bear won huge acclaim for the album, which soared into the Billboard Top Ten.

ClashMusic caught up with Grizzly Bear just after the release of the album. "With ‘Veckatimest’ we had a greater understanding of how we work together, and what works well, so we could sit down in a room and play through stuff, and have fun with it,” revealed Chris Taylor.

“We could get a bottle of rosé, drink it all down and then go get another one, and we could do that until three in the morning. We just sort of mumbled stuff out – there’d be an idea, or a feeling, and then we’d play things through."

Cresting a wave of success, the band are due to head over to the UK soon. In addition to a series of headline performances Grizzly Bear are also set to play the Green Man festival.

Kicking off in Dublin on November 1st, the band will play a total of five dates before heading back to New York. Tickets for the dates are due to go on sale on Friday (June 18th) at 9am.
