NYC Opera House show confirmed

Brooklyn's Grizzly Bear have confirmed details of their new album with a massive show planned in New York's famous Opera House, it has been announced.

Cult favourites, Grizzly Bear have kept fans waiting since 2006 for a new album. Released three years ago now, 'Yellow House' was adored by critics and launched the band into mainstream acceptance.

Despite not releasing new material, Grizzly Bear were kept busy in 2008 supporting two of their icons - Radiohead and Paul Simon. The band have been writing new material, and are currently finishing recording their new album with the Brooklyn Youth Chorus.

Due out later this year, the new album will be followed by an exciting show in the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House in New York on February 28th. Combining forces with the Brooklyn Philharmonic , the gig will feature Grizzly Bear songs old and new arranged by Nico Muhly.

Grizzly Bear will release their new album in Spring 2009.
