Millionaire punks get busy

Green Day have lined up a career spanning box set alongside their latest album.

Green Day don't do things by halves. Instead of merely completing a new studio album, the punk trio confirmed earlier this year that they have embarked on a full trilogy.

'¡Uno!', '¡Dos!', and '¡Tré!' will be released shortly, but for now Green Day are focussing on a new box set. Containing all eight of their studio albums, 'The Studio Albums 1990-2009' is set to be released on August 27th.

The box set begins with '1,039/ Smoothed Out Slappy Hours' (1990), through 'Kerplunk' (1992), 'Dookie' (1994), 'Insomniac' (1995), 'Nimrod' (1997), 'Warning' (2000) and 'American Idiot' (2004) to 2009’s '21st Century Breakdown'.

News of the box set comes as Green Day post a behind the scenes video. Taken from '¡Uno!', new cut 'Oh Yeah' hit the web earlier this week.

Now the trio have unveiled a clip featuring intimate footage of the band completing their new video. Directed by Samuel Bayer, you can watch the behind the scenes footage below:
