Great Escape Expands Line Up

White Denim, Mae Shi and more

Brighton's massive music showcase event The Great Escape has expanded its bill yet again, adding acts such as White Denim and The Mae Shi.

Taking place at venues throughout Brighton, The Great Escape is one of the biggest showcase events in Europe. Acting as a showcase for unknown groups as well as attracting premiere talent the event pulls massive crowds into the south coast city.

In a previous instalment of the festival The View played a raucous show to a crowd of devoted fans and those all important industry types. A record deal followed, and the rest is a history littered with gold discs and broken hotel rooms.

This year's headliners include Kasabian and hotly tipped group Micachu & The Shapes. Kasabian are set for a busy summer, with the Leicester rock giants due to support Oasis on their massive UK tour.

Joining them will be returning Welsh rock group Future Of The Left and singer VV Brown.

Amongst the unknown acts attempting to make their name are The Big Pink, The Soft Pack, Vivian Girls and It Hugs Back. All of whom are ClashMusic favourites but not, perhaps, household names.

Could one of them go on to breach the mainstream? Time will tell.

The Great Escape takes place in venues across Brighton between May 14th - 16th.
