Post-rock giants confirm performance

Godspeed You! Black Emperor are amongst the latest acts to be confirmed for I'll Be Your Mirror.
Announced earlier this year, I'll Be Your Mirror is another addition to the All Tomorrows Parties roster. A new event, it takes place in the Alexandra Palace and merges groundbreaking music with cinema.
Spread across two days, the inaugural instalment of I'll Be Your Mirror will be curated by Portishead. The Bristol giants have hand picked a series of acts, mixing seminal groups with fast rising newcomers.
The latest additions include a performance from Godspeed You! Black Emperor. The American post-rock giants recently came out of hibernation, and have only played a handful of British shows in a decade.
Set to perform at I'll Be Your Mirror, the historic setting of the Alexandra Palace will be the backdrop for Godspeed You! Black Emperor. A now doubt epic performance, the band have been added to an increasingly tasty looking bill.
The cinema element of I'll Be Your Mirror is also beginning to shape up. The event will host a special collaboration between legendary graphic novelist Alan Moore and musician Stephen O'Malley who will respectively provide text and guitar for a soundtracking of Harry Smith's 1962 animated alchemical film 'Heaven & Earth Magic'.
A very special collaboration, I'll Be Your Mirror will host a series of screenings including one of 'Submarine' introduced by director Richard Ayoade.
Portishead have helped piece the bill together, with both nights finishing with a performance from the Bristol group. Details of the set are shrouded in mystery, however for their first live outing in some time the seminal band will no doubt have a trick or two up their sleeves.
Tickets are on sale now, with more details of the bill - including screenings, food vendors and extra bars - set to be filled in closer to the time.
I'll Be Your Mirror is due to run between July 23rd - 24th.
