Cee-Lo must be crazy...

Cee-Lo Green has revealed that he believes Gnarls Barkley will record again in the future.

A studio based partnership, Gnarls Barkley laid waste to all before them. The duo's stunning single 'Crazy' became a modern classic, seizing control of the number one slot on download figures alone.

Releasing their debut album, producer Danger Mouse and vocalist Cee-Lo Green seemed to be unstoppable. Since then, though, little has been heard from the duo who are focussing on solo projects.

Returning with his new album last year, Cee-Lo Green repeated the success of 'Crazy' with singles such as 'Forget You'. Speaking to CCN, though, the vocalist seemed to hanker for his days in Gnarls Barkley.

"Of course. It's an enigma, if you will. It's a monster. It's a noun. It's a person, place and thing, you know what I'm saying?"

"So when I'm emotionally able to go back in that hole in the wall, I'll go back in there. And Danger Mouse will be waiting for me, afro intact."

Since the release of their hugely successful debut album, the two members of Gnarls Barkley have led very different careers. A celebrated producer, Danger Mouse formed one half of Broken Bells with The Shins' James Mercer.

Cee-Lo Green, meanwhile, has become an instantly recognisable pop star. Asked if there were creative differences, the singer explained that the two artists were opposites who complimented each other.

"We have an awful lot in common. He's a very funny guy. You wouldn't know it. He's very smart" explained the soulful singer. "I've described Danger Mouse on a few occasions as a picket fence around my garden of wildflowers, can you dig it? Makes sense."

Meanwhile, Cee-Lo Green has confirmed the following shows:

26 Glasgow ABC
27 Manchester Academy
28 Birmingham O2 Academy
29 London O2 Shepherds Bush Empire
31 Bristol O2 Academy
