Glasvegas Writing New Album
Group To Record In The Summer
Scots indie sensations Glasvegas are set to record their second album next summer, with guitarist Rab Allan claiming the band have written some amazing material.
Glasvegas burst through this year with a debut album chock full of heart on sleeve anthems. Combining primal drums, some truly electric guitars and singer James Allan's patented growl the band have cut a swathe through the indie scene.
Bassit Rab Allan told Planet Sound that the group are set to head back into the studio soon. "James likes to throw curveballs - maybe it'll be years before we make a new record. But he reckons he'll have enough songs written by next summer."
The bassist added: "James has got two new songs he's happy with, but they aren't ready enough to play live just yet."
"James played one of the songs to the rest of the band for the first time a fortnight ago. It's amazing; absolutely beautiful, considering it's such a simple song."
Glasvegas released their new Christmas EP 'A Snowflake Fell And It Felt Like A Kiss' on December 1st.
