Glasvegas Play Tiny Show

Carl Barat crowd surfs at intimate gig

Scots gloom rockers Glasvegas have played a stunning set at the Notting Hill Arts Club, just hours after appearing at the NME Awards.

The Scottish group have come a long way in just a year. Emerging from the dark with a clutch of heart breaking anthems, Glasvegas gained a rabid following turning their shows into collective outpourings of longing and despair - but in a fun way, obviously.

The group performed a duet with Florence & The Machine at the O2 Academy Brixton then dashed across London to play the show at the Death Disco club. The night is run by Alan McGee, a prominent supporter of the group.

The show was free to enter, with queues of fans stretching far down the street. The sweaty euphoric set was enjoyed by some indie cognoscenti, with Jon McClure watching the set along with Carl Barat.

A close friend of the band, at one point Barat began crowd surfing while Glasvegas played a victorious set in the background.

Glasvegas played:

'Geraldine'
'Lonesome Swan'
'It's my Own Cheating Heart That Makes Me Cry'
'Polmont On My Mind'
'Flowers And Football Tops'
'Go Square Go'
'Daddy's Gone'
