Early bird tickets sold out
Glastonbury organisers have announced that their 'early bird' briefs have sold out.
Under a new scheme festival goers have been able to buy tickets to the 2009 event since last year, paying at least £50 towards the full price of £175. This method has proved extremely popular, with fans complaining of poor ticket procedures before last year's event.
These 'early bird' tickets have sold out, and fans have until Sunday night (February 1st) to clear their balance. After this date, a very limited number of full price tickets will go on sale.
The events headliners have yet to be revealed, although organiser Michael Eavis recently hinted that two would come from the United States and two from Britain. Franz Ferdinand bassist Robert Hardy recently told fans the band would be playing Glastonbury, but nothing has been confirmed as yet.
Other headline rumours include possible sets from Bruce Springsteen and Neil Young. If confirmed, this would be the first time Bruce Springsteen has played Glastonbury.
Glastonbury takes place from June 24th to 28th.
