Radiohead confirm appearance

The full line up for this massive Reading and Leeds events has been confirmed with Oxford giants Radiohead amongst the pick of the bunch.

Held across two sites, Reading and Leeds is one of the biggest music events in Europe. Each year the festival gathers a bill packed with exclusives, and 2009's instalment is no exception.

Radiohead are one of the biggest and most respected groups on the planet. Their album 'In Rainbows' scooped a Grammy recently while the band have just finished an historic tour of Central and Southern America.

Their first visit to the continent in a decade, it saw Radiohead joined by electronic pioneers Kraftwerk. The band are a sensational live act and this will be one of a very select bunch of festival dates Radiohead will play this summer.

Joining the band as headliners are former Clash cover stars Kings Of Leon. The Southern lords of indie are now one of the biggest bands on the planet and have already confirmed appearances at Oxegen and T In The Park.

Also on the bill are returning Brooklyn trio Yeah Yeah Yeahs. With singer Karen O on typically feisty form, the band are renowned as an awesome live act. New album 'It's Blitz' is due for release soon, and the group will unveil their new material before the Reading and Leeds audience.

The group will be joined by the likes of Bloc Party, New York afro-pop merchants Vampire Weekend, Kaiser Chiefs and gloomy Scots Glasvegas.

Reading and Leeds takes place between August 28th - 30th.
