ClashMusic can reveal that Friends are the secret headline act for today's Republic of Music party.

As you might remember, the Clash team are heading down to Brighton this weekend to soak up new music at The Great Escape. Just to help move things along, we decided to hook up with Republic of Music for a special one off party.

The UK's largest independent distributor, the Republic of Music are throwing open the doors of their Brighton office. Setting up a soundsystem in the courtyard, Thomas White opened proceedings at noon.

Teasing you with talk of a mystery headliner, ClashMusic can now reveal that Friends are set to perform at the Republic of Music party.

The Brooklyn newcomers are surrounded in hype, with debut album 'Manifest!' set to delight and surprise in equal measures. Set to drop by Republic of Music for a very special - and extremely intimate - performance, Friends will perform 3pm.

Taking place in the Republic of Music offices and courtyard, the Great Escape party is free to anyone with a delegate pass. The current line up is as follows:
