Franz Ferdinand For Ross Comeback

Scots indie gentry Franz Ferdinand are amongst the big names confirmed for Jonathan Ross' comeback show on January 23rd, it has been announced.

Who's been a naughty boy then? Jonathan Ross and partner in crime Russell Brand left a series of lewd messages on Andrew Sachs' mobile phone in November, leading to popular furore and the resignation of Brand.

Ross meanwhile was only hit with a three month ban, which cost the star over a million pounds. Ouch. Franz Ferdinand are lined up to appear on the first addition of his chat show in some time, and will play in support of forthcoming album 'Tonight: Franz Ferdinand'. Joining the Glasgow based group on the show will be Stephen Fry and comedian Lee Evans.

Jonathan Ross will resume his hugely popular BBC Radio 2 show on January 24th, before a new edition of Film 2009 airs a short while later.
