Franz Ferdinand Return With Fourth Album

It's called 'Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action'
Right Thoughts Right Words Right Action

Franz Ferdinand have confirmed plans to release their fourth album 'Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action' through Domino this summer.

Franz Ferdinand have made no secret of their intentions to record new material. The band have spoken openly about it, throwing in the odd casual reference to a potential influence in order to allow fans to remain on their tail.

Now, though, the Scottish band are ready to make their next move. Fourth album 'Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action' will be released this summer, through the band's long term home Domino.

Recorded in several different studios - including spaces in London, Scotland and Scandinavia - the album press release comes equipped with the following Alex Kapranos quote: "The Intellect Vs The Soul, played out by some dumb band."

What does that mean? Who knows, but if the band can match the sparkling promise of those early singles then that'll be enough for us.

Here's a trailer.

'Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action' is set to be released on August 26th.

The album will be available on CD (WIGCD255), deluxe limited edition double CD (WIGCD255X), LP (WIGLP255), via digital download (WIG255D) and a Deluxe DomMart only double LP (WIGLP255X) - packaged in a hand numbered die-cut gatefold sleeve. The double disc editions contain an exclusive live performance recorded at London's KONK Studios.
