Franz Ferdinand Announce UK Tour
Band Hit The Road In 2009
Scottish indie gentry Franz Ferdinand are set to hit the road in 2009 and play a full UK and Irish tour in support of their new album, it has been announced.
The returning Scottish giants have kept fans waiting for their new album 'Tonight: Franz Ferdinand'. The follow up to 2005's 'You Could Have It So Much Better', original sessions for the album with pop team Xenomania were scrapped.
Franz Ferdinand have played several of the album tracks live, including forthcoming comeback single 'Ulysses'. The tour announcement comes as the band gear up to release their new album, with dates scheduled for February and March.
Franz Ferdinand will release their new album 'Tonight: Franz Ferdinand' on January 26th.
The band will play the following dates:
February 28th - Limerick, Dolans
March 1st - Dublin, Olympia
March 4th - Glasgow, Barrowlands
March 6th - Manchester, Academy
March 8th - Birmingham, Academy
March 9th - London, Hammersmith Apollo
Tickets go on sale on Friday December 12th at 9.30am.
